Scrapbooking Best Friends Forever

Ciao Bella,

I haven't done a scrapbook page in a while and i was thinking it was about time…And on one of the Stampin' Up Demo Professional groups I belong to , they had a layout in their Weekly Scrapbooking Challenge that really just …spoke to me…I instantly know what to create…..so here it is …..

I used the Best Friends Forever Stamp Set,  it is awesome for creating scrapbooks …take the BFF out and you could have an entire album done …all you would have to do is change up some of the bling and placement of the pictures ….I bet you could ….really….

Here is a little close up …. I used only In- Colors…Pool Party, Island Indigo, Cameo Coral, Lucky Limeade, and Poppy Parade, and I also used Glimmer Brads…I also used the Two Tags Die for my bigshot to create my photo mats….Since I was using such vibrant colors but still wanting a vintage-ish feel …I used confetti White Card Stock…..as my base …..

This stamp set is so versatile …. I made a matching card…..Did I tell you … I used vanilla Smooch Spritz on both the page and the card … it is my favorite for sparkle…..actually …..my whole desk is covered in Smooch Spritz…..because I'm too lazy ….I just move paper and stuff out of the way …and spritz away…..Some days you would think I was part of the Twilight cast , because somehow I get it all over  me including my face…lol

Ok back to the card…the same elements ….almost the same focal point ….again this could a thank you card or a birthday card …just change the BFF to what ever your heart desires…..

Now BIG Reminders …….Tomorrow …Tomorrow …Tomorrow

yep the BUY 3 get 1 free ENDS TOMORROW !!!!!!!

STampin Up campaign Against Breast Cancer ENDS TOMORROW!!!!!!!

YEP ….. the Summer Mini Catty Ends TOMORROW ….

So it time to get those things you have been putting Off …….It's Now or Never ……….

Really, Christmas Already ?

Ciao Bella,

As promised …a sneak peak at what coming in the the Holiday Mini Catalog…

I love this stamp set it's called Christmas Lodge…It kinda reminds me of the movie White Christmas….I again embossed all the images…..and the tree is embossed with Pewter Embossing Powder …. yep, it is in the up coming mini too….

Look at the New Cherry Cobbler Quilted Satin Ribbon … It is so pretty …and really looks so soft that if you could , you would make a blanket out of it …..

The Brads are the mini silver in the Idea Book and Catalog but they were a bit too shinny…I know most things can not be shinny enough for me, but i wanted the tree to be the focus and not the brads….. so guess what I did …. yep …that's right … I embossed them with the pewter embossing powder…..I just love how it all comes together on the Early Espresso Card Base…..

For my customers…. your Holiday Mini Catalog was mailed out on Friday , directly from Stampin' Up!…So If you don't receive your copy in the next week or so …let me know …I will get one to you asap…..If you are one of my blog lurkers and you would like the NEW Holiday Mini Catalog ,  email mail me at sherry@sherrystampingbella.com and I will get one to you…..

Friends Never Fade – Embossed

Ciao Bella,

The Hinesville Farmer's Market was a Blast yesterday….it was a bit hot but that band was awesome…and the new Food vendors …. OMG …..Not to mention the time I spent with my stamping friends….what a great afternoon …It reminded me of the stamp Set Friends Never Fade….

I was looking in my paper drawer and noticed I had this huge stack of Bravo Burgundy…and realized it has been a neglected color for a very long time…and I thought it would be a perfect match with the Friends Never Fade…..I embossed with clear embossing powder …all the ink…I'm still in an embossing mood …lol

First off I have to say… I think this is on of the best bows, I ever made…..I am not know for my bows…lol

I stamped the flower in So Saffron and Always artichoke and then embossed with clear Embossing powder….the greeting is in Bravo Burgundy and is embossed as well …..

While I was at the Hinesville Farmer's Market, my UPS man delivered my Holiday pre-order from the up coming holiday mini catalog …that will be released Sept 1st…..So I should have some sneak peaks coming your way, I can't wait to crack open that box and get stamping …..

Don't forget the Buy 3 Get 1 Free Special running on Designer series Paper…..

the Strength and Hope campaign is winding down so be to order your stamp set before they are gone ….

Have a great weekend everybody …

Simply Embossed and Adorned

Ciao Bella,

Oh what a busy day , today is going to be,… starting with my son's Traditional Senior Breakfast…and parents have to attend…..at 7AM….. it too early for me …..I really hope they don't expect me to be a willing participant at that early hour…lol

After that…I'm going to do some more creating …I have a few ideas to work out …yesterday … I decided that since I was going to the Stampin Up"s regional training, next week, I thought I would break out my 2' x 1 1/2' Simply Adorned Charm …and yes I'm still embossing everything ….

Where there is ink …it is heat embossed with clear embossing power…I used the Charming Stamp Set for all those images… This set is really perfect for creating inserts for the Simply Adorned charms…

I also used some Pool Party Designer Series Paper, actually just some scraps I had laying around.. Designer Jewels Pearls, the new Mini Brads, some Victoria Lace and Baja Breeze seam binding ribbon ….There is also a Paper Daisy, and mini safety pin ….can you believe I got all that in there …..

Now on the Backside … the same Charming Stamp Set …all embossed….This side is a little more simple…because you can only fit so much in the charm, otherwise it wont close…The background is stamped with Island Indigo and embossed with clear embossing powder ….Don't you just love how Cherry Cobbler pops against pink pirouette….and of course i had to add the rhinestones and pearls …..

Ok I gotta run ….. Senior Breakfast …If you have any question or would like to purchase any of the supplies for today project … either click my shop now button or email me at Sherry@sherrystampinbella.com

See you tomorrow

Flowers and Embossing, Too Much Fun

Ciao Bella,

I had so much fun this weekend…I actually watched both my teenagers reading actual BOOKS….can you believe it ?  I wasn't sure they knew how to read an actual book…I'm mean there was no mouse to turn the pages for them …lol    Anyway, while they were doing that, it allowed me to get some uninterrupted stamping time in …I rediscovered how much fun it was to heat emboss…most times I'm too in a hurry or just too lazy to get out the "stuff"….I have to say there is something about the way heat embossing really make the colors more saturated and really just about pop of the page ….. not to mention shinny… I love shinny…

I used Button Buddies for the Flower image and the greeting is from Kindness Matters….I'm just giddy, with this card…super shinny… I swear I must have been a Mermaid in another life…love, love, love the Shinny…The base of the card is Concord Crush, the layer is Daffodil Delight…

Look at those punched out flowers, all of them are heat embossed…I used a variety of techniques, to get the different colors on the image before I set it with clear embossing powder…The purple-ish flower I heat embossed with Iridescent Ice embossing powder..so that one is sparkly and shiny….and I put a matching glimmer brad in the middle …

I have a few more embossing ideas to try out today… I can't wait till the kids leave for school…I also can't wait to show you how to heat emboss…So while I'm playing today …I also will be creating the cards for my Stamping 101 Class …that will be featuring Heat embossing. This class will be on Sept 1st from 10am to 12 Noon …the cost of the class is $15,  don't forget all technique classes include 2-3 projects featuring that week's technique, and a 6×6 reference card in a protective sleeve….RSVP by August 25th and payment holds your spot in the class…

Don't forget the Buy 3 Get one Free Designer Series Paper ….

A Menagerie For the Window Box…

Ciao Bella,

Well I put all those pieces, that I shared with you yesterday, together …..

So what do you think? …… I think after seeing all those pictures from the Stampin'Up Convention …that my brain wanted to bring that garden to me …..I still think it needs a little something , but for the life of me I can't figure it out …..a ribbon ?  or mount the whole card onto Concord Crush ? …..hum I just don't know …..

I have to admitt, I had a lot of fun with the details of the card…The Butterfly image is from the Kindness Matters stamp set…of course I had to put Designer Jewel Pearls on the Butterfly…I used the 5-Petal Flower Punch to make him pop….

Here you can see all the buttons, pearls, and rhinestones. I even added Crystal Effects to make it look like there were dew drops on the petals…

This wouldn't complete without some Vanilla Mist Smooch Sprtiz….. I love how it makes everything sparkly…..

If you want me to show you how to make these little paper flowers to embelish just about any project…..all you have to do is ask…..I'm here to serve you …

I can always be reached at Sherry@sherrystampinbella.com

Babies and Pumpkins

Ciao Bella,

Happy Friday….another week done, and time to get the weekend started …

Today is the last day of my Button Buddies Stamp Set series… are you ready?

What a challenge this was… the baby rattle image… As you know … I'm not a baby person …my kids are 17 & 15, and I'll take teenagers over babies any day….

This 3 x 3 note card, is pretty much me just coping the sample picture out of the catalog ….See the catalog does have reproducible samples in it …the colors are Daffodil Delight and Lucky Limeade, and of course the button with Baker's twine that I colored with Lucky Limeade…

This one, I used the same gender neutral colors, and was thinking sort of a bouquet of rattles. I punched out the top of the Lucky Limeade rattle top …wrapped the ribbon, and added the button at the bottom,

Again So Simple …Even me, the non baby person could create a cute little note card ….. Whew… I made it …done with the baby ones,…. Moving on…

The little pumpkin is just so cute…. and perfect for all those fall events …What I really like is the image is perfect for not only cards but all sort of projects…what I mean is … I love, love love Halloween, it has to be one of my favorite holidays ….. but in today's world, schools are switching to "Fall Harvest" and on Halloween dressing as your favorite Book character….. ok whatever…..But the little Pumpkin fits into both of those themes ….. very cheerful and cute…..

So this little guy here,   I left him plain, and it really worked for me….. So I left him floating …he is so easy that your kids could even stamp their fall thank you notes or party invitations themselves with this little pumpkin…

This one would be fun to make with your kids…This time, I stamped the little guy and wrap a ribbon around, to kinda make it look like he was sitting on a wall… stamped the image again, on different piece of Whisper White Card stock and punched out the pumpkin part out and used a dimensional, to pop him up on the wall … and of course used two small buttons in the corner…..

fun or what ?….

Check this bookmark out ….. perfect for School …I just stamped the pumpkin in a line…but so not perfect, I wanted to give the feeling of happy little pumpkins reading their way through a good book …..

I have to say … this series was a challenge… I can't remember if I ever made a collection of card using EVERY image in the set….Whew .. I did it…

THANK YOU, … for all the wonderful comment and emails, I read each and everyone and try to respond …the comments and emails mean so very much to me …I really can't thank you enough…

Since I had such a positive response to my Button Buddies, I have decided to offer a FREE CLASS using this stamp set….Actually two class times to choose from …

Fruit or Flowers today

Ciao Bella,

I have some flowers for you today…

Yes, I used another image from the Button Buddies Stamp Set …I used the NEW In colors, Pool Party and Island Indigo…..and rather than put the buttons on the flowers …I choose to use some of Stampin' Up Designer Jewels, Pearls….. and used the coordinating buttons to hold the bow …. and yes I know the buttons are not centered …..I measured, and measured and measured …and somehow it still was a little off… I'm leaving it in the "I failed straight lines and scissors in Kindergarten " category…..

Here is another…Same colors for the base of the card….I used Calypso Coral and daffodil Delight for the Flowers, and buttons with more of the designer jewels, pearls…..

I really like the simplicity of the card base with the pop of color on the flowers

Now what if you would rather have the gift of Fruit instead of flowers?

When I first saw this set … these cherry images were the first image I was attracted to …clean, simple,and classic….. And thought they were going to be a breeze to work with … but they were not as easy as I thought …. I was over thinking again as usual …..and when I just kinda let go …it became clear ….stick with your first instinct… clean and simple …..

This one Is Real Red Card Stock and real red everything else….That is the New Baker's twine in the center of the button…..

All I did here was stamp my image, and then stamped the Cherries again on another piece of card stock and used the 3/4 inch punch and punched them out …and used demensionals to pop them up to look like a real bunch of cherries …..

Here again very clean and simple…But what I love is the tiny scallop frame …..I used the Dotted Scallop Ribbon Boarder Punch. I cut it length wise down the middle and then glued it to the back of the main image,so you could only see the scallops….. The Dotted Scallop Ribbon Punch, has to be one of my favorites …It is so versatile…

I have has so many emails about these cards, that I am planning a FREE CLASS …. I should have the details worked out by tomorrow ….

Please Email me at Sherry@sherrystampinbella.com if there is anything I can do for you…..answer questions, need help with a specific technique, anything at all … just let me know … I'm always at your service…

Double Snips and Snails

Ciao Bella.

WoW…. you got a double post today ….I just couldn't wait to show you the Full Size card I made with the snail Image from the Button Buddies Stamp Set….

Just like the 3×3 card on my previous post…I created a Garden using the Just Believe Stamp Set…another one of my favorite go to stamps sets…. and then added Mr. Snail with a button creeping into the Garden

Here you can see Mr. Snail and the greeting are both popped up on stampin dimensionals….and I used those New Mini Brads again … those are becoming a staple in my card making …added a little pear pizzazz seam binding ribbon and that's it …. done …super fast and super fun ….

Ok now back to cleaning the house …

Snips and Snails

ciao Bella,

Snips and snails and Puppy dog tails … Isn't that what they say little boys are made of …not today

I've been working my way through each image in the Button Buddies Stamp Set…This little snail is almost as cute as the little piggy…The snail image can work simply by itself or can be a cute accent in a nature inspired card …

I'll I did here was just stamp the little guy and add a button from our Brights Collection of buttons… Just in case you haven't heard it enough … this stamp set is designed to go with Stampin' Up's Button Collections

I did add two little brads from the Brights collection as well, …just for some added pop…

This time I just stamp my image and punched it out, then using the 5 petal flower punch and the large scallop circle punch, I made my layers … it's almost like he is sitting in a flower… I did use a Glimmer Brad, instead of a button…If you haven't tried these you really should… they are the perfect way to add a little glittery shimmer and shine with out all the fuss and muss of glue or glitter….

This 3×3 note card, I think is my favorite of the set. I love how this little snail is inching his way through the garden …a cute little accent for just about any occasion you could think of with little note card…I used the Just Believe Stamp Set for my garden background…and stamped my little snail guy and then …are you ready … I "fussy cut" him out …I know …You know I hate to fussy cut anything …I'm telling you… It all comes from Kindergarten…when I failed straight lines and scissors…scared me for life…

So is the snail cute or what? ….I'm thinking I just might have to make a full size card with him in the garden …

Ok well I'm off for today …and long day of house cleaning that I didn't done yesterday … I ended up driving my friend on a 6 hour turn around trip to Florida, to pick up her truck driver husband… he was in a accident … no worries … he is fine …but his 18 wheeler was not so lucky ….but that's a story for another day …

Reminder….. I have a few spots open in my Royal Stampers on a Not SO Royal Budget Club …so RSVP today to reserve your seat in the Club…

If you have question or comments or want to purchase and of the Stampin Up products I've shown you today….. All you have to do is email me at    Sherry@sherrystampinbella.com

Morning Mocha with a Purse

Ciao Bella,

I am so excited today, I knew when I saw this Specialty Designer Series Paper , Morning Mocha, that it was going to be at the top of my ' Must haves" from the new Idea Book &Catalog.   Ok Well I'm a coffee freak and I keep wanting to call the paper Morning Mocha latte…lol

Here is the first thing I made with the gorgeous paper

Check out that Purse !!!!!!!!   Way Cool …..Now let me show you the paper real quick …..

These two sheets are FLOCKED…so the designs are raised and almost feel like velvet…It reminds me of wall paper from years and years ago….The Espresso Print,    It the same design from the Stamp Set Elements of Style, one of my Favorites …..

Look at all these rich tones…it would make for some elegant and regal scrapbook pages ….not to mention that you could get a very formal masculine card or scrapbook page…For our Kings, Princes and Knights in Shining Armour…..

Ok … back to the project …..

I wish I could have a real purse that looked like this….

As soon as I saw this specialty Designer Series Paper … I knew that this project was in the bag…sorry bad pun …

I used Basic Black for the trim but I think the next one I'm going to uses Early Espresso. I used the Antique Brads to re-enforce the handles ….

Don't you just love it, when you surprise your self on how cute something came out…

I have to admit I can't remember where I got the pattern for this purse… I'm not that creative…..to design the pattern myself … but I can sure follow a pattern …So I have to give thanks and credit to whoever took the time and effort in creating it …..

Now on to the 3×3 note cards that fit inside this little gem…..

I used the Coordinating Stamp from Elements of Style to create the background Images …I also used the sentiment and flourish stamp from the Stamp set Kindness Matters…This is going to be one of my new Favorite stamp sets ….and of course I finished the card of with a little vintage trinket … a tiny brad that looks like a button ….

Here Again … Same elements ,,, just switching the color up to Cherry Cobbler

This note card has to be my Favorite….

I decided AFTER I sponged the edges of the sentiment Kindness Matters…that I wanted to use Pearl Smooch Spritz….I know it really doesn't show up in photos…such a bummer….anyway…when I spritzed it …the ink where I sponges started to bleed just a little bit… and created the coolest … pink-y Brown pearl effect…..you really have to see this card in real life…all pearly and shimmery…..As I said before, sometimes I surprise myself….lol

well Today was a long post …. I will let you get on with your day…

Don't forget if you would like to purchase this Designer Series Paper, Morning Mocha or have any questions just email me at Sherry@sherrystampinbella.com

Don't forget … this Friday is an Open Crop, Ladies Night Out…from 6-9 pm ….this is a free event …so Don't forget to RSVP …..

Basket full of Paisley Petals

Ciao Bella,

I have you have those days, where you think you were on the ball, getting the to do list done and maybe getting a half step ahead …..well that was me this morning ….. I had a awesome time creating projects to share with you and designing projects for up coming workshops ….. I go to write this post and bam…..

Ok let me show you todays… super cute project ….and then I'll explain…

Isn't it soooo sooo cute…a basket decorated with the Paisley Petals designer series paper …..and went into the NEW 2011 Idea Book & Catalog, to get the exact name of the die ….. only to discover …this cute little basket and bloom die for my Big Shot RETIRED!!!!!…BAM….. For a Stampin' Up Demonstrator is like tripping over your own feet and loosing "cool points"….

So let's look at the close up and focus on the great elements that we can still get from the New Idea Book & Catalog …..

I know that the picture is a little Out of focus ….. but I was trying to show you the Glimmer Brad

and the NEW MINI BRADS…..I punch the flowers out of scrap Paisley Petals, I had lying around after the last couple of projects I made… and thought would they be cute on a basket….With the Big flower, a glimmer brad was a must…..and with the little punched flowers…they are perfect for the NEW MINI BRADS….

to give you a better idea of the size of the New Mini Brads….check this out

As you know the Glimmer Brads are HUGE….. The Gold Brad is the standard brad size…the colored brads look like they MIGHT be a little bigger….. But those mini Brads are only about 1/3 the size…..they are not difficult to work with …it seems to me the Post-ie bendable parts are wee bit longer than the standard Brads…..and the bend-ie parts … bend so easy ….almost too soft ….in fact I would say that it is perfect …

So what do you think?  too cool …..so maybe just maybe …I got some of those cool points back …..

As Always… If you would like to order the Mini Brads or anything you see in my posts…just email me at Sherry@sherrystampinbella.com

Also know anybody who wants a slightly used Basket and Bloom XL die for their Big Shot … for cheap …email me as well …lol

Don't forget to check out my Classes ….. Ladies Night out OPEN Crop Night is this Friday … DID YOU RSVP YET?

Simple Paisley Petals and little silly

Ciao Bella,

The last week or so I have been trying to deliver a stamp to a customer…with no luck … So I thought … I'm the card lady….I'll send a card …. but I didn't have any on hand for this particular situation …..so what's the Card lady to do … make one of course…

It was super duper quick and easy …I used Calypso Coral for my base and Ink and just featured the Paisley Petals Designer Series paper… I just love this paper …it does all the work for you…I also used the stamp set Four Frames to get that cute little bird…This card is so gorgeous in real life, Photography just isn't doing it justice…

Now to get some silly on…..

after I made this card and a few others I will show you later on …I wanted to try out making a card with pennants on it with bright happy colors…..and as you know I don't do a lot of the super bright color mixing….and I had some embellishments that I think are do cute, but never use…so I pulled them out ….

look what I ended up with ….

Doesn't it just make you want to laugh…..

It reminds me of the circus and the clowns…since the idea for the card wasn't matching how it was turning out …I thought what the heck… let's get silly and put everything on it … glitter brads, flower brads, rhinestones, buttons, colored brads and ribbon…..

It's kinds like the clown car, where every kind of mismatched clown comes out of that tiny car…

This card wont win me any artisan awards but when everything around you is so serious… it's good to know that you can still be silly and make yourself laugh…

So I have a challenge for you … Email me pictures of your silly, not quite what you were going for cards and I will post them…and we can get our silly on together…Isn't that what summer is for?

Before I forget… If you are suffer from the heat wave…like I am in Georgia…extreme heat and humidity and are finding that you snail Adhesive just doesn't want to work in those conditions …I'm finding my TOMBO …the glue in the green and white bottle is working great … just remember a little goes a very long way…..

Don't forget to send me you silly cards,  stay out of the heat, drink plenty of water…and always if you have a question or comment …just email be at Sherry@sherrystampinbella.com
