My Digital Studio – Halloween
Ciao Bella,
I'm so bad …..remember last winter going into Spring …when my computer crashed twice …and I had to stop blogging for a while …. well when I got the new laptop I didn't re install My Digital Studio…and to really really honest … I couldn't Find the disc… Well … since my creative re-organization of my craft room … I found it … So that will be today project …..but in the mean time …I thought I would show you some of the great Halloween downloads , that have come out recently …..
.jpg)
Are they not the greatest …..I'm defiantly purchasing Piece of Poison Download …all my stamp set that say Trick or treat have retired ….and with the download I can make Hybrid cards …..
Ok tomorrow I will giving you the details of the Christmas Extravaganza stamp Camp on November 5th …..
See you tomorrow

Hauntingly Elegant
Ciao Bella,
Well, … I think I have it …for the last few days I've been working on this idea of a card that is a little different … I guess I would call it Hauntingly Elegant …..

Doesn't it look like an old invitation to a Masquerade Ball that you found in a trunk in Grandma's Attic? i love how the flower really looks dried out and fragile…..maybe a speck of mold since it was locked away in a trunk…..

I embossed the back ground image with the new Pewter embossing powder in the Holiday Mini catty…and the image is from Creative Elements Stamp Set…and of course I had to Vanilla Smooch Spritz the entire card…I really love that when you go a little heavy on it …. your inks will bleed every so slightly …..The Candelabra image is from Wicked Cool stamp set …..
Even with out the Candelabra image…You would still know that this was a Halloween Event …a grown up type event with no pumpkins, ghouls or anything else on the front…I love how just with the color choice you can create a specific theme without the traditional images…..
I used calypso coral and rich razzleberry with our distressing kit to make the flower look ….well … dead and dried out …..and the Your invited image was from Sincere Salutations and it was embossed in the new Pewter embossing powder …..
I would love to show you and your friends how to make elegant Halloween themed projects for your grown up Masquerade Ball ….from party favors to decorations …..
Just contact me at Sherry@sherrystampinbella.com and we will set up a time that is good for you …..

Haunted Candelabra…
Ciao Bella,
As I was working on Halloween Cards this weekend ….I had this idea of creating a flower that didn't look quite so fresh…..and I live outside of Savannah, "the most hunted city in the US" ….with nightly Ghost Tours…well of course that thought took me to a childhood memory of Disneyland and it's Hunted House…Which made me laugh because I was such a scaredy cat that I must have almost 15 before I would go inside that ride……but what I remember was the glorious banquette/ball at the end …..the floating candelabras….dancing and floating ghosts….it looked like quite the party even know they were dead…
Ok so I have trying to create this vision I have for a card…..here's what I have so far…
It's almost there….. I think it needs some Smooch Sprtitz and maybe a little more distressing…..My flower is squished enough….it needs to look a little more …well…dead…..I'm thinking I need to sponge the petals with a little black classic ink …..and there needs to have a little something at the top…..
Don't get me wrong … I like this card … I'm just wanting to get my vision out of my head …. oh I have an idea…..Stampin' Up's paper daises…. why didn't I think of that yesterday….. well I have to go now …. when a creative idea pops into my head … I have to run with it before either I forget or the practical mind poo-poos it …..
If you have any questions or have suggestions for this card … leave a comment or email me at Sherry@sherrystampinbella.com

Spooky Creative Elements
Ciao Bella,
Sorry to be so late in posting this morning… but it's Saturday, and I slept in for a change…..
I'm just loving the Creative Elements stamp set …it can go from vintage to whimsy to spring to fall …all in a change of color…..Today … I went Spooky… I haven't really started any Halloween projects yet….so I thought it was about time …..

If Halloween could be elegant this might be it …..I used the large background image in White Craft ink …and well it came out a little bright …. Just like I thought it would …..So after it dried… I took a sponge dauber and pounced all over the white with Old Olive Classic Ink …..I also pounced the pearls with Old Olive as well…..

And yes I did fussy cut to make the flower have a little more dimension … I was going for a Half dead flower but I like this too….
The Spooky stamp image is from the Wicked Cool stamp set …….
added a few rhinestones and a glimmer brad and call this card done …..
Ok I have a question for you… I have had some request for either classes in the mail or online classes …so I need some feedback on what types of classes you are looking for…..I need details that will work for YOU, so I can make it happen…..
For my Demo Sisters who has asked if I would start making classes and M&T for the short on time and don't want to mess with math in design ….what are you looking for in these types items…
Leave me comments so I can give you the best service possible …..

Petal Card Double Punch Box
Ciao Bella,
I'm so excited today…. My Dear Sweet Friend, Teresa Hafso otherwise known as The Scrappin' Mama…asked me to be her Featured Artist on her Blog…..I am so honored … I don't know what to say…but Did know what to do ….Create a project just for her…but I couldn't just stop there …I also Created a little picture tutorial to go with it ….SO …Want to see the project that is being featured on the Scrappin' Mama Studio's Blog …..

It is this tiny little 1 inch box , made with the Petal Card Double Punch…these little boxes are perfect for all sorts of things…..this one I made to go on a Halloween Spooky Tree…….
So let's get going on how to make one of this little gems …

You will need the Petal Card Double Punch, Bone Folder and either Designer Series Paper or Card Stock

1. Punch out 4 of the Petal Cards…. Look at the picture to the right…can you see how clear the score lines are?…To get those score lines super clear… Here is an Important tip….. stand up when you use this punch…use two hands, one on top of the other, and after it punches give it an extra push…. 2 Times…..I like to make my desk creek 2 times but that's just because my desk is really old ……..
After you punch either your Designer Series Paper or Card Stock, use your Bone Folder to Reinforce those score lines …..
I'm sorry this next picture is blurry …..

2. Next you are going to use your adhesive and glue two of the petals together… put your glue on the outside of the petal…..At this point don't forget … if you are using Designer Series Paper, the design side you want is facing down… or wrong side up …..
I use TomBo Multi Purpose because I live in GA, where the humidity is really high and it seems that for projects like this ….. it holds better…
Continue Gluing your petals cards together …. like a string of paper dolls……so it looks like this …..
A Nice neat little row ………
now the Hard part to explain …..bring the left and right petal on each end together ….I hope this next pictures helps …

See how it almost Rolls into the box…….
to finish getting your box shape … glue the 2 petals on the end together …..just like you did for the others…..these petals are going to be on the INSIDE of the box…there is enough room for you to pinch those two petals together from the inside…..It really is a lot easier than I'm making it out to be …..
When that's done your box should look like this:

Now you can close your Box by gluing the flaps down or doing that " under over thing" … I don't know what it's is called or what ever way you like …..
If you are going to decorate it and turn it into a hanging ornament…Be sure to close the top first …I used the "under over thing-y" so I had that little space in the center to put a Brad … so you will need the bottom open to secure the brad …..
Here is another tip for you…..have you ever looked really looked at you paper piercing tool….. you have the pokey end and you have the flat end…well the flat end is perfect for reaching into the box and really flattening and securing the brad….. the same trick works when you add a brad to a card or other project…..so they are always perfectly flat ….
I just used Baker's twine to make the loop so my little box could hang…..
So see you're done not so bad …..I made a whole slew of them in just a few minutes….

See the top one in the Picture… Looks like a Christmas Present…..and it is the perfect size to hang on one of those office desk top Christmas trees…..
There is my Halloween Box on the Bottom Row,,, you can get a good look at that " under over thing" I was telling you about…..
and the other ones in fun bright colors… are just Perfect for birthday…..a teeny tiny present to sit on a card that you give a Co-worker or teacher …when you want a little something more than a card … but not really a full gift… just a little extra ….
So what fits in these little boxes?
1 Hershey nugget or Kiss…..or any other individual wrapped single piece of candy…
Eraser tops or baby erasers, you know the ones in the dollar stores that come out for every holiday…that's what one of my kids teacher is using them for …..she lets the kids pick a box when they do something good…they are high school kids and love it …..she also said she is putting candy, paper clips, and all those little things…It's like the days of the "Grab Bags" you never know what you are going to get ….and that's half the fun …..
I hope you enjoyed my tutorial …and don't forget to visit Teresa at the Stampin' Mama Studios….she has some great Christmas ideas … you really should check them out…..
If you have any questions just email me at Sherry@sherrystampinbella.com and I will do my best to answer them or if you want to purchase the Petal Card Double Punch … just click on my shop now button …..

Babies and Pumpkins
Ciao Bella,
Happy Friday….another week done, and time to get the weekend started …
Today is the last day of my Button Buddies Stamp Set series… are you ready?

What a challenge this was… the baby rattle image… As you know … I'm not a baby person …my kids are 17 & 15, and I'll take teenagers over babies any day….

This 3 x 3 note card, is pretty much me just coping the sample picture out of the catalog ….See the catalog does have reproducible samples in it …the colors are Daffodil Delight and Lucky Limeade, and of course the button with Baker's twine that I colored with Lucky Limeade…

This one, I used the same gender neutral colors, and was thinking sort of a bouquet of rattles. I punched out the top of the Lucky Limeade rattle top …wrapped the ribbon, and added the button at the bottom,
Again So Simple …Even me, the non baby person could create a cute little note card ….. Whew… I made it …done with the baby ones,…. Moving on…

The little pumpkin is just so cute…. and perfect for all those fall events …What I really like is the image is perfect for not only cards but all sort of projects…what I mean is … I love, love love Halloween, it has to be one of my favorite holidays ….. but in today's world, schools are switching to "Fall Harvest" and on Halloween dressing as your favorite Book character….. ok whatever…..But the little Pumpkin fits into both of those themes ….. very cheerful and cute…..

So this little guy here, I left him plain, and it really worked for me….. So I left him floating …he is so easy that your kids could even stamp their fall thank you notes or party invitations themselves with this little pumpkin…

This one would be fun to make with your kids…This time, I stamped the little guy and wrap a ribbon around, to kinda make it look like he was sitting on a wall… stamped the image again, on different piece of Whisper White Card stock and punched out the pumpkin part out and used a dimensional, to pop him up on the wall … and of course used two small buttons in the corner…..
fun or what ?….

Check this bookmark out ….. perfect for School …I just stamped the pumpkin in a line…but so not perfect, I wanted to give the feeling of happy little pumpkins reading their way through a good book …..
I have to say … this series was a challenge… I can't remember if I ever made a collection of card using EVERY image in the set….Whew .. I did it…
THANK YOU, … for all the wonderful comment and emails, I read each and everyone and try to respond …the comments and emails mean so very much to me …I really can't thank you enough…
Since I had such a positive response to my Button Buddies, I have decided to offer a FREE CLASS using this stamp set….Actually two class times to choose from …

Halloween Buffet
Ciao Bella,
Yesterday I share some trick or treat pencils, and it got me thinking…..what if I could continue the super simple punches and scrap idea over to a Buffet table or CupCakes…..this is what I came up with

What do you think ? For the Buffet I would use 6 inch bamboo Skewers and for cupcakes tooth picks…..Again All I used was the Wicked Cool stamp set (120600) pg 23 in the IB&C and assorted punches and scrap card stock…..
I'm thinking I need to go make some cupcake wrappers to go with these…..
I will be selling these at the Hinesville Oktber Fest this Friday and Saturday…October 15 & 16 in Downtown Hinesville GA.
And another reminder of the Clearance Rack Blitz is still going on until October 18th…

Trick or Treat But not something to eat
Ciao Bella,
Halloween is getting closer and close… those ghost and goblins will be spooking around in no time…Are you ready ?…
Today I have a No Candy treat that still is a sweet treat… this would be a perfect alternative for a class party, scouts party or any other event that you just might not want that much candy…..

Here is a close up of these super easy pencil treats

It is just 2 punches, 1 stamp set , ribbon and a little Smooch.
I used the Wicked Cool Stamp Set (120600 )pg 23 in the IB&C, and stamped my bats and cobwebs…and then gave it a little Smooch Spritz(1187700,pg. 195 of the IB&C….. oh I did this on 1 sheet of Crumb Cake Card stock … THEN I cut the card stock into the strips to make the pouches. I used the new Decorative Label Punch to out the Spooky , Punch out a few colorful Bats, add some ribbon and you done …..
Want even easier ? check these out

These were made with all punches and scraps…..Same supplies just no measuring … they were fun to make as well.
I got the pencils at a $1 store, so it makes the project very affordable for a group party.
Now if you like these but don't want to make them yourself, I will have these for sale at the Hinesville Oktober Fest on Friday October 15th and Saturday October the 16th…
I will also have Pumpkin Poop and Eyes Of Newt, Halloween Cupcake toppers, not to mention Christmas cards and gifts…I will also be demonstrating rubber stamping and how to use the Big Shot..
I hope to see you there…

Haunting on the Hill
Ciao Bella,

I decided to do an 8 1/2 x 11 page instead of a 12 x12… just to be a little different….I used the Haunting Hill Jumbo Wheel(116539)pg. 26 in the IB&C, on the bottom of the page… sorry I got a little hidden by my water mark. I also used the Wicked Cool … my favorite Halloween stamp set,(120600) pg 23 in the IB&C, Old Olive 1 1/4' Striped Grosgrain Ribbon (115618)pg 191 IB&C, Designer Button in Pumpkin Pie pg 186 in the IB&C. The Bitty Bat Punch and the New 2 1/2" in circle punch from the Holiday Mini Catalog…..

Something Wicked this Way Comes
Ciao Bella,
I am so excited this morning… I was working on party favors for my "quick I need a favor Class" and I was looking for something a little different. Well thanks to my sister demo, Kimberly Van D., who inspired these grown up party favors…take a look

Aren't they so way cool…and way grown up …and they are meant to hang on one of those spooky decorative trees…but alas I don't have one of those…so I used what I had … here they are hanging …

OMWord, I just couldn't stop adding things to them I think I used just about every embellishment in the Holiday Mini Catalog….

This one is the simplest of them all …I used the Newsprint Designer Series Paper(117166) pg. 175 in the IB&C, for all the Treat Cones. The stamp set is Wicked Cool (120600)pg. 23 in the IB&C, the Bitty Bat punch (119279) on pg 201 in the IB&C. and I'm not sure if you can see it too well but I used Smooch Spritz in Log Cabin((119921) and Vanilla Shimmer (118772) , both are on pg. 195 in the IB&C…

This one has the new Waffle Paper, Champagne Glass Glitter, new Label Punch and the Raven Jewels…all from the Holiday Mini Catalog…and I'd list the catty numbers for you but my mini catty is in the car and it is raining Bats and Broom Sticks right now…lol

This one has the Raven Lace Trim and Extra Large Buttons from the Holiday Mini Catalog, and there is another Black Jewel on there. This one might be my favorite on to make.

This last one I have to admit I did go over the top …More Black Raven Lace Trim, Black Jewels, Designer Jewels Basic Pearls, Paper Daisies, Mini Vintage Tag, Vintage Trinkets and I used the New Clear Scalloped Rectangle Sizzlet from the Mini Catalog….
Are these not the most grown up Halloween Fun…you have ever seen…
As I said if you are signed up for my "quick I need a favor" class … you will get to make one of these …is that not the best …
Ok … also this week starts my 12 weeks of Christmas emails…my gift to you for being loyal customers and friends… If you are already receiving my monthly newsletter you are all set…If not , be sure to subscribe today so you don't miss a thing …there is a box up at the top of the page one the left hand side…just for my newsletter…

October Play Date
Ciao Bella,
I haven't shared any Scrapbooking with you lately, and the last time I did I used the Play Date Quick Accents. Well I have to admit that my boys are a little big for the Back- to- School thing ( they are both in High School) so that them doesn't come easily. When I made the September Page the I realized that I could scrapbook a page for every month. So today after creating the October page, I'm going to challenge myself with creating a entire year, month by month of pages using just this package of Play Date Quick Accents… ok well maybe a punch or two…but I know that some of my scrap bookers don't really like to stamp and some of my stampers don't like Scrapbooking…So this will be also a challenge to see if can make both groups happy …
Ok ready to see the page…
.jpg)
All I did was use the accents from Play Date Quick Accent ( 117172) pg. 176 in the IB&C, and the New Bitty Bat Punch ( 119279) pg. 201 in the IB&C and the Oval Punch (119855) pg. 203 in the IB&C to create a few holiday elements, I wanted to keep the Halloween Simple and not have it take over the overall theme. that way when I'm done with my challenge to create a page for every month, the Play Date Quick Accents will still be the focus…
Here is what a pack of Play Date Quick Accents looks like:.jpg)
I hope you will follow my challenge, I'm thinking maybe a new page about once a week ….
Don't forget you are invited to my Mystery Workshop Next Tuesday Sept. 28th at 6:30pm … Don't forget to RSVP
