Inspired By Paisley Petals

Ciao Bella,

While I'm sitting here wishing I was at the Stampin' Up Convention …..I decided to kick my little pity party to the curb and create something…..I thought I might as well starting getting ready for my August Workshops…I have  some dates available, so if you have been putting off having a workshop … now is the time ….The kids are back to school on August 4th…..there should be some more wiggle room for a fun two hours with friends creating, chatting and of course laughing…..

Ok back to Todays Card …..I love the simplicity of this clean and simple card … it may not be a workshop card but I guarantee there will be one very close …..

paisley print- lucky lime aide

First off… here the reminder again and proof….. Snail Adhesive doesn't like Georgia Heat wave and ultra high humidity…I'm going to fix the card with TomBo….the one in the green and white bottle…

anywho…..I used a Crumb Cake base for the card and this large Print  from the Paisley Petals Designer series Paper….it coordinates with  Lucky Lime Aide… I have to admit …right now it is a hard color for me right now… so I will be playing with it to get more familiar with it…..I used Lucky Lime Aide in the Large label Punch and sponged it with Early Espresso to soften it a wee bit …and then I use a stamp from Friends Never Fade in So Saffron…..Can You believe I have had that stamp set for a year and never used it … I must be crazy…the I added the phrase from Perfect Words a current Hostess set….and punched it out in my Neglected Label Punch…..

Here a close up of that …Close up lucky lime aide paisley petal card

See how the Sponging and the So Saffron soften the main image with loosing it wow factor…..

Well I'm off to create some more workshop designs for you

Oh Wait … I will be at the Hinesville Farmer Market Today… from 4pm to 8pm….. Come by and say HI.

And as always…. you can contact me at Sherry@sherrystampinbella.com … if you need anything or would like to purchase something I've shown you or even just to chat and ask a question

Simple Paisley Petals and little silly

Ciao Bella,

The last week or so I have been trying to deliver a stamp to a customer…with no luck … So I thought … I'm the card lady….I'll send a card …. but I didn't have any on hand for this particular situation …..so what's the Card lady to do … make one of course…

It was super duper quick and easy …I used Calypso Coral for my base and Ink and just featured the Paisley Petals Designer Series paper… I just love this paper …it does all the work for you…I also used the stamp set Four Frames to get that cute little bird…This card is so gorgeous in real life, Photography just isn't doing it justice…

Now to get some silly on…..

after I made this card and a few others I will show you later on …I wanted to try out making a card with pennants on it with bright happy colors…..and as you know I don't do a lot of the super bright color mixing….and I had some embellishments that I think are do cute, but never use…so I pulled them out ….

look what I ended up with ….

Doesn't it just make you want to laugh…..

It reminds me of the circus and the clowns…since the idea for the card wasn't matching how it was turning out …I thought what the heck… let's get silly and put everything on it … glitter brads, flower brads, rhinestones, buttons, colored brads and ribbon…..

It's kinds like the clown car, where every kind of mismatched clown comes out of that tiny car…

This card wont win me any artisan awards but when everything around you is so serious… it's good to know that you can still be silly and make yourself laugh…

So I have a challenge for you … Email me pictures of your silly, not quite what you were going for cards and I will post them…and we can get our silly on together…Isn't that what summer is for?

Before I forget… If you are suffer from the heat wave…like I am in Georgia…extreme heat and humidity and are finding that you snail Adhesive just doesn't want to work in those conditions …I'm finding my TOMBO …the glue in the green and white bottle is working great … just remember a little goes a very long way…..

Don't forget to send me you silly cards,  stay out of the heat, drink plenty of water…and always if you have a question or comment …just email be at Sherry@sherrystampinbella.com

Afterthoughts

Ciao Bella,

Here is the next fun treat I will be offering at my booth at the St Marys 4th of July Festival

tall Candy Bag

These were so fun to make …..all punches and big shot …my kind of cutting…..and I used the stamp set Perfect Words ……

close tall candy

here is a close up , aren't they just fun and pretty…great little gifts for just about anything…..

I have to admit these three here are my favorite ,,, and I used the stamp set Afterthoughts …..I just love both of these sets … they have perfect sentiments for every occasion without being "too much" or too "kiddie"…..

I have to thank my son Patrick for filling the bags for me …..Funny thing is I was just going to leave them random M&Ms in the bags… after he filled them all ..he can to me and said .."Mom I got bored, so I played around with the colors in the bags "   By doing that I think some came out extra cute … Thanks Patrick …..by the way… Patrick is 15 and wore food handlers gloves …what a sport…..

If you have any question or would like to purchase either of these stamp sets … just email me at sherry@sherrystampinbella.com

Clear for teddy

Ciao Bella,

Yesterday, I showed you a 6×6 scrap page featuring the Clearly for you stamp set and said today I would show you another that was inspired from that little page…

Now this one is a little more over the top ….Because this page is a gift that a friend asked me to make for her…she wanted teddy bears, butterflies, baby in basket…..there is allot going on on this page

There are lots of Jewels and pearls as well. I am thinking the vintage trinket safety pin, needs a little something more …maybe a pink tiny knot…

Not only did I use the Clearly for You stamp set, I also used the Teddy & Train…And of course a lot of Big Shot Embossing Folder and Embosslettes, and the Scalloped Square Duo die… Punches …at least 4 different ones…and the color Spitzer tool…..This page is almost a stamp camp by it self …..Maybe I should have a class on vintage Scrap Pages … Hmm……

Let me know what you think ?

Ciao Bella,

Let me start by saying OMG…. Wednesday afternoon, my brand new laptop …Black screened on me ….so back to the store I go …and exchanged to another new computer … get that one home …and it was not new…it had been set up with other peoples info ….so back to the store I go ..again yesterday…I certainly don't want to buy a computer that has been returned ….why was it returned and then not wiped…..hmmm and then to be charged a new computer price when it had obviously been USED!!!!! I'm starting to wonder…..but anyhow … I have a another New computer …..cross your fingers …

Moving on … I haven't really played with this years in colors, I had been getting familiar with all the new colors from the color renovation last July,so with Spring here…I thought it was high time I did so ….

aren't those so of the most gorgeous colors, you have even seen?  I do have to admit the photo editing software on my new laptop is pretty cool too….. I uses the butterfly from the Clearly for You stamp set from the Occasions Mini Catty  and the greeting is from Occasional Quotes a Hostess set….. the colors are the new Concord Crush, Poppy Parade, and Pear Pizzazz…..I can't tell if i made butterfly flowers or balloons…eitherway I like it and I'm thinking this just might be my April's Workshop Project …..

Match Box Christmas Party Favors

Ciao Bella,

Here is an actual bit of creativity this morning, …With my Dear Hubby Being home from on R&R from Iraq, be brain has been a bit off on the creative side…..So I decided to go back to a basic go to project. ….. an of course that means pulling out the Big Shot … oh I love my Big Shot….

Christmas party favors

I know super simple …But I love simple and with all the craziness of the holidays who wants to add another item to the already long to do list…These give the handmade touch without all the fuss…

pink christmas favor box

This Favor Box, I used the XL Matchbox Die in my Big Shot, I used the Candy Cane Designer Series Paper from the mini Catalog to make a belly band…Love this paper…can you see,.. those dots are Glittered, the paper comes that way … way too cool…all the shiny is done for you…add a bit of 1/8th Taffeta Ribbon …and you are all ready to fill it with the treat of your choice…..

This one I did step up just a smidgen….This time I used the striped paper from the Candy Cane Designer Series Paper… Look close… the red stripe … is glittered too….it's just another super simple belly band. The tag… I just punched out with the New Decorative Label Punch and Added some glitter….a little more 1/8th inch taffeta ribbon and you are done ….

black and white xmas party favor For this box , I went Formal-ish… Maybe for a New Years Party,

I again made the matchbox , but I used Stampin Up's Shimmery White Card Stock…so no need to fuss ..it already has the shimmer, a simple Black Satin Ribbon…and you are done.  Ok I did add the Old hat pin with some old beads I had laying around…but I did spy at the dollar store the other day a display with holiday pin and Cell Phone Charms…Now that I think of it I'm going to have to go get some make some more of these… Why didn't I think of that Idea when I was at the store…..

Anyway the Box is super elegant and sometimes less is more….and I think that is the case with these boxes…

Gift For the Holidays

Ciao Bella,

However I was invited back to the Official Final Market today…and Good News… they are continuing the Farmer's Market through November!!!!! Thank You Hinesville for supporting me and our other local businesses…..

Ok on to today's Project Featuring the Jolly Bingo Stamp Set…..

Jolly bingo tealights candles

This is a super fast project…Just incase you didn't notice … I don't do anything that isn't fast, easy and fun …and to let you in on another secret about me …I get bored easily…so for me to anything for a craft fair or in large quantities …very difficult….but these Babies right here … Super fast…easy…fun …and I seem to be able to just keep making them and making them ….which means…YOU can make these too!

Jolly bingo bits red tealight

The Real Red one , I used the Jolly Bingo Stamp Set for the images on the tealights and the ornament stamp from the Perfect Tags Stamp set.  And though it is really hard to see there is a rhinestone jewel in the middle of the tag…just for a little bling…..

Marina Mist tealights

For this set I used Marina Mist as my base color with the Jolly Bingo Bits stamp Set… and the Snowman Tag from the Perfect Punches Stamp set…and then layered the tag on a scalloped punched piece of Marina Mist Card Stock , wrapped with a very generous piece of ribbon …..

I bet you are wondering why I always use such a generous amount of ribbon on my finished projects… I love ribbon and I like the receiver of the gifts to have enough ribbon to reuse it on their projects…so it's like an extra gift……and I always love presents …..

Halloween Buffet

Ciao Bella,

Yesterday I share some trick or treat pencils, and it got me thinking…..what if I could continue the super simple punches and scrap idea over to a Buffet table or CupCakes…..this is what I came up with

What do you think ?  For the Buffet I would use 6 inch bamboo Skewers and for cupcakes tooth picks…..Again All I used was the Wicked Cool stamp set (120600) pg 23 in the IB&C and assorted punches and scrap card stock…..

I'm thinking I need to go make some cupcake wrappers to go with these…..

I will be selling these at the Hinesville Oktber Fest this Friday and Saturday…October 15 & 16 in Downtown Hinesville GA.

And another reminder of the  Clearance Rack Blitz is still going on until October 18th…
