A Scrappers Ornament
Ciao Bella,
I hope you all had a safe Halloween, I know I had a fun time meeting some of my neighbors …I had some of my Halloween Craft Fair Items left over an thought what a great way to meet my neighbors…I handed out regular Candy to the kids… but the moms would stay at the curb… so I started yelling …"I have Mom treats"…you would be surprised how many RAN up to me saying … Mom treats… I have never got those before…It has confirmed to me that it doesn't matter how old you are …Trick or Treat-ing is fun …
So With Halloween officially over …And Today being All Saints Day…not a big holiday in the US but in Europe …it officially marks the Start of the Christmas Season …you try shopping today in Europe today … it will rival our Day after Thanksgiving…..lol… I thought I would share a Christmas Ornament that is a great Project for everyone…even the scrapbooker …..

This little Christmas ornament, is so cute and is perfect for those School Pictures that should be arriving anytime now… I used the Big Shot and the Big Square Scallop Die to make the base of METAL and the Crumb Cake Card stock …Yes the Big Shot can cut metal …I used Metal Flashing from my local home improvement store…I also used my crop-a-dile to punch a hole in the top to tie my linen tread , for the hanger…
after that I just layered and decorated with the Boughs and Bells stamp set added a couple of brad and mini library clips…and I did use Sticky Strip to adhere the card stock to the metal… I didn't worry about it the metal showed or not … a little peeking of it is good, so it can catch the light of your Christmas tree…..I left mine simple, but I think I will make a few more with the new glass glitter or maybe some gold waffle paper… who knows…..
If you would like to make one of the these or just need the supplies email me and I will be more than happy to assist you …

Bells and Boughs WaterColor
Ciao Bella,
I love to water color on my cards it so simple and Relaxing, for me … It reminds me of coloring as a child and the times when I would be at my Grandma's House and she let me used Water Color Pencils…I could never figure out the "crayola water color kit" as a child … strange I know … but water color pencils …as a kid I could do just about anything…
Now as a "big Girl", I still don't think I could use Water Color Paints … BUT what I can do is use Stampin' Up!'s Blender Pen, ( 102845)pg. 195 in the IB&C and Classic Ink to watercolor… Take a Look …

How cool is that ….I have to say I was a little challenged because I was trying to re-create some holiday bells that my Grandmother has… I swear she has had these bells longer than I have been alive and that's some 40 plus years…..Anyway…her Christmas bells were heavy and were silver with colored bands… I'm telling you when I saw this stamp Set Bells and Boughs in the Holiday Mini Catalog …I knew I had to have it just for this…Ok … the real challenge was creating the "silver"…Stampin' Up! doesn't have a silver ink that I can use …so I looked around ..and got lucky…I tried a hint of Bashful Blue Classic ink and then covered it in Dazzling Diamonds Glitter(102023)pg 196 in the IB&C…just a light dusting….and Bingo … Silver…Shiny Silver…I have to say I'm happy with the turn out …..
So now that I've got that figured out , I'm going to see if I can recreate the other colored bells, the blue, red, and green ones… I'll also have to dig around and see if I have an old picture of these bells…Grandma still has the original ones and well at 95 asking her to dig them out this early and taking a digital photo …. not going to happen …lol
Enjoy your weekend and I'll see you on Monday…..
