Scrapbooking Best Friends Forever

Ciao Bella,

I haven't done a scrapbook page in a while and i was thinking it was about time…And on one of the Stampin' Up Demo Professional groups I belong to , they had a layout in their Weekly Scrapbooking Challenge that really just …spoke to me…I instantly know what to create…..so here it is …..

I used the Best Friends Forever Stamp Set,  it is awesome for creating scrapbooks …take the BFF out and you could have an entire album done …all you would have to do is change up some of the bling and placement of the pictures ….I bet you could ….really….

Here is a little close up …. I used only In- Colors…Pool Party, Island Indigo, Cameo Coral, Lucky Limeade, and Poppy Parade, and I also used Glimmer Brads…I also used the Two Tags Die for my bigshot to create my photo mats….Since I was using such vibrant colors but still wanting a vintage-ish feel …I used confetti White Card Stock…..as my base …..

This stamp set is so versatile …. I made a matching card…..Did I tell you … I used vanilla Smooch Spritz on both the page and the card … it is my favorite for sparkle…..actually …..my whole desk is covered in Smooch Spritz…..because I'm too lazy ….I just move paper and stuff out of the way …and spritz away…..Some days you would think I was part of the Twilight cast , because somehow I get it all over  me including my face…lol

Ok back to the card…the same elements ….almost the same focal point ….again this could a thank you card or a birthday card …just change the BFF to what ever your heart desires…..

Now BIG Reminders …….Tomorrow …Tomorrow …Tomorrow

yep the BUY 3 get 1 free ENDS TOMORROW !!!!!!!

STampin Up campaign Against Breast Cancer ENDS TOMORROW!!!!!!!

YEP ….. the Summer Mini Catty Ends TOMORROW ….

So it time to get those things you have been putting Off …….It's Now or Never ……….

all you have to do is click my Shop now button …. you don't even have to get dressed …stay in your PJs….but you still need to just get before it's gone ….

See you tomorrow

White Christmas at the Christmas Lodge

Ciao Bella,

I'm Dreaming of white Christmas…I have had that song in my head since I started playing with the Christmas Lodge stamp set ….This stamp set really does remind me of the Bing Crosby Movie White Christmas….and with the Georgia heat right now …It might not be a bad thing …

I'm not sure if this cards is perfect just yet…..but I do love the warm fuzzy feeling it gives …..I used a Early Espresso card base …and layered with Cherry Cobbler layer that I put through my Big Shot in the Textured Lattice embossing folder…..The tree is stamped in Always Artichoke on Very Vanilla card stock and I did sponge the edges in early espresso…just to take the edge off.

What I wish you could see…and I really tried to get a picture that really showed the details…but alas … my photo skills are just not there yet …is the Dazzling Details … new in the Holiday Mini Catalog…it is super fine glitter mixed in a bottle of glue…you can get precision application with your glitter…..I used it to make frosty garlands on my tree…there is a trick for getting the best look …and that is   less is more….not only will it dry faster but but somehow the glitter looks more concentrated that way …and of course I used the new Cherry Cobbler Quilted ribbon…..and I have to say…my Bow looks pretty darn good…I think I might be FINALLY catching on to make bows … either that or sheer luck …lol

well stay cool today….and if you need anything I've shown today just email me at Sherry@sherrystampinbella.com and we will get your order ready, so when September 1st arrives you can be one of the first to have the New Holiday Mini Catalog products…..

Pepto Tagtastic

Ciao Bella,

First I want to say HAPPY BIRTHDAY PATRICK…..It's Patrick's 15th birthday today…My sweet baby told me a few days ago ….Mom, please don't make me a card …Can I have jelly crepes instead…..So Ok …but I was still in the mood to make a birthday card…..so I channeled my inner 15 year old to create this card…

So I have a question for you ….. What does the movie Steele Magnolias, Peptobismol,Barbie, and Disney Princesses have in common?…….

This Card is a sea of Pink…Pretty in Pink, Regal Rose,Pink Pirouette, Mellon Mambo …..a ton of designer jewels…rhinestones and pearls…ribbon and glitter ….did I mention that all the stamping was embossed as well so it is shinny…….After going to the wedding in the movie Steel Magnolias, Barbie and the Disney Princesses… spwed Peptobismol all over when they created this card…..lol…..

I put a lot of detail in this card….The Birthday Greeting Come from the set Tagtastic…..and the crowns and side image…is from Artistic Etchings ….

This photo is me really just playing with my camera but it does show the embossing and the glitter….

Well I'm off to do an all boy birthday day…don't forget the Buy 3 Get 1 Free on Designer Series Paper…..

And Also my classes are filling up fast …so makes sure you reserve you seat in your favorites …..

Babies and Pumpkins

Ciao Bella,

Happy Friday….another week done, and time to get the weekend started …

Today is the last day of my Button Buddies Stamp Set series… are you ready?

What a challenge this was… the baby rattle image… As you know … I'm not a baby person …my kids are 17 & 15, and I'll take teenagers over babies any day….

This 3 x 3 note card, is pretty much me just coping the sample picture out of the catalog ….See the catalog does have reproducible samples in it …the colors are Daffodil Delight and Lucky Limeade, and of course the button with Baker's twine that I colored with Lucky Limeade…

This one, I used the same gender neutral colors, and was thinking sort of a bouquet of rattles. I punched out the top of the Lucky Limeade rattle top …wrapped the ribbon, and added the button at the bottom,

Again So Simple …Even me, the non baby person could create a cute little note card ….. Whew… I made it …done with the baby ones,…. Moving on…

The little pumpkin is just so cute…. and perfect for all those fall events …What I really like is the image is perfect for not only cards but all sort of projects…what I mean is … I love, love love Halloween, it has to be one of my favorite holidays ….. but in today's world, schools are switching to "Fall Harvest" and on Halloween dressing as your favorite Book character….. ok whatever…..But the little Pumpkin fits into both of those themes ….. very cheerful and cute…..

So this little guy here,   I left him plain, and it really worked for me….. So I left him floating …he is so easy that your kids could even stamp their fall thank you notes or party invitations themselves with this little pumpkin…

This one would be fun to make with your kids…This time, I stamped the little guy and wrap a ribbon around, to kinda make it look like he was sitting on a wall… stamped the image again, on different piece of Whisper White Card stock and punched out the pumpkin part out and used a dimensional, to pop him up on the wall … and of course used two small buttons in the corner…..

fun or what ?….

Check this bookmark out ….. perfect for School …I just stamped the pumpkin in a line…but so not perfect, I wanted to give the feeling of happy little pumpkins reading their way through a good book …..

I have to say … this series was a challenge… I can't remember if I ever made a collection of card using EVERY image in the set….Whew .. I did it…

THANK YOU, … for all the wonderful comment and emails, I read each and everyone and try to respond …the comments and emails mean so very much to me …I really can't thank you enough…

Since I had such a positive response to my Button Buddies, I have decided to offer a FREE CLASS using this stamp set….Actually two class times to choose from …

Fruit or Flowers today

Ciao Bella,

I have some flowers for you today…

Yes, I used another image from the Button Buddies Stamp Set …I used the NEW In colors, Pool Party and Island Indigo…..and rather than put the buttons on the flowers …I choose to use some of Stampin' Up Designer Jewels, Pearls….. and used the coordinating buttons to hold the bow …. and yes I know the buttons are not centered …..I measured, and measured and measured …and somehow it still was a little off… I'm leaving it in the "I failed straight lines and scissors in Kindergarten " category…..

Here is another…Same colors for the base of the card….I used Calypso Coral and daffodil Delight for the Flowers, and buttons with more of the designer jewels, pearls…..

I really like the simplicity of the card base with the pop of color on the flowers

Now what if you would rather have the gift of Fruit instead of flowers?

When I first saw this set … these cherry images were the first image I was attracted to …clean, simple,and classic….. And thought they were going to be a breeze to work with … but they were not as easy as I thought …. I was over thinking again as usual …..and when I just kinda let go …it became clear ….stick with your first instinct… clean and simple …..

This one Is Real Red Card Stock and real red everything else….That is the New Baker's twine in the center of the button…..

All I did here was stamp my image, and then stamped the Cherries again on another piece of card stock and used the 3/4 inch punch and punched them out …and used demensionals to pop them up to look like a real bunch of cherries …..

Here again very clean and simple…But what I love is the tiny scallop frame …..I used the Dotted Scallop Ribbon Boarder Punch. I cut it length wise down the middle and then glued it to the back of the main image,so you could only see the scallops….. The Dotted Scallop Ribbon Punch, has to be one of my favorites …It is so versatile…

I have has so many emails about these cards, that I am planning a FREE CLASS …. I should have the details worked out by tomorrow ….

Please Email me at Sherry@sherrystampinbella.com if there is anything I can do for you…..answer questions, need help with a specific technique, anything at all … just let me know … I'm always at your service…

Snips and Snails

ciao Bella,

Snips and snails and Puppy dog tails … Isn't that what they say little boys are made of …not today

I've been working my way through each image in the Button Buddies Stamp Set…This little snail is almost as cute as the little piggy…The snail image can work simply by itself or can be a cute accent in a nature inspired card …

I'll I did here was just stamp the little guy and add a button from our Brights Collection of buttons… Just in case you haven't heard it enough … this stamp set is designed to go with Stampin' Up's Button Collections

I did add two little brads from the Brights collection as well, …just for some added pop…

This time I just stamp my image and punched it out, then using the 5 petal flower punch and the large scallop circle punch, I made my layers … it's almost like he is sitting in a flower… I did use a Glimmer Brad, instead of a button…If you haven't tried these you really should… they are the perfect way to add a little glittery shimmer and shine with out all the fuss and muss of glue or glitter….

This 3×3 note card, I think is my favorite of the set. I love how this little snail is inching his way through the garden …a cute little accent for just about any occasion you could think of with little note card…I used the Just Believe Stamp Set for my garden background…and stamped my little snail guy and then …are you ready … I "fussy cut" him out …I know …You know I hate to fussy cut anything …I'm telling you… It all comes from Kindergarten…when I failed straight lines and scissors…scared me for life…

So is the snail cute or what? ….I'm thinking I just might have to make a full size card with him in the garden …

Ok well I'm off for today …and long day of house cleaning that I didn't done yesterday … I ended up driving my friend on a 6 hour turn around trip to Florida, to pick up her truck driver husband… he was in a accident … no worries … he is fine …but his 18 wheeler was not so lucky ….but that's a story for another day …

Reminder….. I have a few spots open in my Royal Stampers on a Not SO Royal Budget Club …so RSVP today to reserve your seat in the Club…

If you have question or comments or want to purchase and of the Stampin Up products I've shown you today….. All you have to do is email me at    Sherry@sherrystampinbella.com

Button, Button….who has the button

Ciao Bella,

I'm still loving the 2011 In Color Combo Island Indigo and Pool Party…Can ya tell?  I've been working on my August Workshop samples and projects for those who attend to make. and experience the fun of rubber stamping and card making ….

These 3×3 note/gift cards feature the New stamp set Button Buddies, this set is so cute, and just like the name implies every image in the stamp set coordinates with Stampin' Up Buttons…

I made the cards in stages… I went from Simple to over the top.

This is the very simple card …just the flower image in Daffodil Delight punched out and layered over the New In Color Ruffled Ribbon in Island Indio…it so cute just like that …

this little gem, I took up just one notch…Changed the Base layer to Island Indigo but left the matting in Pool Party…and the greeting this time I stamp on Whisper White and punched it out…

This little baby….. FULL BLING…..

went back to Pool Party as a base card layer, and added the Island Indigo layer…..

I added a button from the brights collection of buttons and tied it with the new Baker's twine…because you can't have naked buttons.

I again punched the greeting out but this time I added a punched layer of matting and popped it up with dimensionals …Of course it wouldn't be full Bling if I didn't add a Designer Jewel Rhinestone …..

Now, I want to share with you the cost of making these cards… and why….

it seems that the economy has hurt everybody in one way or another…and with cell phone and internet there is a loss of personal contact…..I really think that getting back to friends and family in a more meaningful way will kill two birds with one stone…..How?….. Making Hand made cards and either snail mailing them or giving in person is less costly and they person who received the card has a physical, in hand reminder of you…and that is priceless…a text, email, or even a quick cell call can't have those long lasting feelings…..

I hear all the time I can't afford to make my own cards and the price of the cards in the store are $3.00 and up….. Let me tell you the First card I showed you… the very basic card… cost me 25 CENTS and that does include an envelope…..and the Last Card I showed you …. the full blinged out card is only $1 including the envelope…..

Now you are going to tell me the start up for this would be too much … well no …in the grand scheme of things …for you personally maybe….But what if I told you… I could get you started for under $50.(if you don't have anything)  and keep you going for $25 per month .. for 6 months, and learn how to make this investment work for you, to include all your Christmas and Holiday Cards, Thank You cards for your Holiday Gifts…..and even a few Christmas presents …..would you consider it ? What If I added 2 hours a month that you could learn and create these projects in a Child FREE, grown up atmosphere…..and a few things to Surprise and Delight You…..Sounds Good …..Doesn't it?…

Well …..Tomorrow I will show you just that …. I will be announcing my Royal Stamping on a Not so Royal budget Club …….. I'm so excited to be able to offer this to you …I can't hardly wait till tomorrow …I will tell you that the First Meeting of this Club will be in August ….

So if you are interested email me at SHerry@Sherrystampinbella.com  and I will add you to the club….

See you tomorrow I can't wait….

Basket full of Paisley Petals

Ciao Bella,

I have you have those days, where you think you were on the ball, getting the to do list done and maybe getting a half step ahead …..well that was me this morning ….. I had a awesome time creating projects to share with you and designing projects for up coming workshops ….. I go to write this post and bam…..

Ok let me show you todays… super cute project ….and then I'll explain…

Isn't it soooo sooo cute…a basket decorated with the Paisley Petals designer series paper …..and went into the NEW 2011 Idea Book & Catalog, to get the exact name of the die ….. only to discover …this cute little basket and bloom die for my Big Shot RETIRED!!!!!…BAM….. For a Stampin' Up Demonstrator is like tripping over your own feet and loosing "cool points"….

So let's look at the close up and focus on the great elements that we can still get from the New Idea Book & Catalog …..

I know that the picture is a little Out of focus ….. but I was trying to show you the Glimmer Brad

and the NEW MINI BRADS…..I punch the flowers out of scrap Paisley Petals, I had lying around after the last couple of projects I made… and thought would they be cute on a basket….With the Big flower, a glimmer brad was a must…..and with the little punched flowers…they are perfect for the NEW MINI BRADS….

to give you a better idea of the size of the New Mini Brads….check this out

As you know the Glimmer Brads are HUGE….. The Gold Brad is the standard brad size…the colored brads look like they MIGHT be a little bigger….. But those mini Brads are only about 1/3 the size…..they are not difficult to work with …it seems to me the Post-ie bendable parts are wee bit longer than the standard Brads…..and the bend-ie parts … bend so easy ….almost too soft ….in fact I would say that it is perfect …

So what do you think?  too cool …..so maybe just maybe …I got some of those cool points back …..

As Always… If you would like to order the Mini Brads or anything you see in my posts…just email me at Sherry@sherrystampinbella.com

Also know anybody who wants a slightly used Basket and Bloom XL die for their Big Shot … for cheap …email me as well …lol

New on the Clearance Rack…

Ciao Bella

Remember when you were a kid and grab bags were everywhere….the mystery and excitement….My family used to go on these long road trips all over the country to see the relatives….and at every roadside tourist stop, museum, or gift shop had these…Ok it may have been 25-30 years ago, but it was still some of the best fun on the family vacations….we would feel the bags trying to figure out which bag had the most in it or what was in it …I remember that Disneyland even had them …and now Stampin' Up! has them …..

Beginning today, April 1, and continuing while supplies last, you will be able to purchase special "grab bags" in the Online Store.
