Candy Cane Fancy Favor Box

Ciao Bella,

I'm still on a roll with my Super Easy Favors….

Candy Cane desinger series paper favor box

I just used the Fancy Favor Die with of course my Big Shot Machine…with the Candy Cane Designer Series Paper, to make the box…a simple belly band with Pretty in Pink Card Stock, and a simple White Satin Ribbon Bow….

Now I did fancy it up a bit using the Northern Frost Decorative Strip  and my Big Shot to make the Snowflakes, In the front of the box I put the snowflakes on the box itself, but on the sides and the back I attached the Snow Flakes to the Ribbon …and of course I had to add some Rhinestones to the snowflakes… I so love those rhinestones… I just can't seem to get enough of them ….

Now I'm off to start getting ready for the Big Turkey Day tomorrow ….so If you should need anything don't be shy … just give me a call or email me and I will be happy to help you …..

Match Box Christmas Party Favors

Ciao Bella,

Here is an actual bit of creativity this morning, …With my Dear Hubby Being home from on R&R from Iraq, be brain has been a bit off on the creative side…..So I decided to go back to a basic go to project. ….. an of course that means pulling out the Big Shot … oh I love my Big Shot….

Christmas party favors

I know super simple …But I love simple and with all the craziness of the holidays who wants to add another item to the already long to do list…These give the handmade touch without all the fuss…

pink christmas favor box

This Favor Box, I used the XL Matchbox Die in my Big Shot, I used the Candy Cane Designer Series Paper from the mini Catalog to make a belly band…Love this paper…can you see,.. those dots are Glittered, the paper comes that way … way too cool…all the shiny is done for you…add a bit of 1/8th Taffeta Ribbon …and you are all ready to fill it with the treat of your choice…..

This one I did step up just a smidgen….This time I used the striped paper from the Candy Cane Designer Series Paper… Look close… the red stripe … is glittered too….it's just another super simple belly band. The tag… I just punched out with the New Decorative Label Punch and Added some glitter….a little more 1/8th inch taffeta ribbon and you are done ….

black and white xmas party favor For this box , I went Formal-ish… Maybe for a New Years Party,

I again made the matchbox , but I used Stampin Up's Shimmery White Card Stock…so no need to fuss ..it already has the shimmer, a simple Black Satin Ribbon…and you are done.  Ok I did add the Old hat pin with some old beads I had laying around…but I did spy at the dollar store the other day a display with holiday pin and Cell Phone Charms…Now that I think of it I'm going to have to go get some make some more of these… Why didn't I think of that Idea when I was at the store…..

Anyway the Box is super elegant and sometimes less is more….and I think that is the case with these boxes…

I used Bashful Blue as my card Based and sponged Bashful Blues around the shimmery White Card stock as well as the embossed snow flakes, and I added on rhinestone to the large embossed Snow Flake and Pearls to the smaller ones … Peach on Earth was stamped in Marina Mist…

The Picture does not even come close to showing how dreamy and cloud like this this card is …..I should call it snowflakes on a cloud …

Need a New Handbag?

Ciao Bella,

While I am at craft fairs I do demonstrations of different Products or Projects…This last weekend was no different…One of the Projects I demonstrated was gift card holders.. I really like these gift card holders because they can be used for Christmas but also anytime of the year…And they look like Hand bags…. I'm such a girly girl … I love my hand bags .. I can't have too many …so what better gift card holder than a hand bag … at least in my book…..

Now I will say… the projects I demonstrate at craft fair type events don't usually have an over amount of Bling, on them …Glitter and such are a little hard and messy to demonstrate outside in the elements…..and I want to Demonstrate projects that YOU can be inspired by and CREATE…

Here are some close ups on the individual Hand Bags

This one is a Tote Bag That I used Newsprint Designer Series Paper,  I also used the new Extra Large tag Punch From the Holiday Mini and the Stamp is From the Stamp Set Tags till Christmas…Now the tag is just tied on to the handle so that could be removed and the gift card holder could be saved and reused to a different occasion …

This little baby is a clutch bag, I used the same Newsprint Designer Series paper but I also ran Cherry Cobbler Card Stock through my Big Shot using the Top Note Die to make the top of the bag and some Antique Lace Trim for the Handle

Newsprint Designer Series paper, Handbag gift card holder Here is the same thing again, but by Moving the Antique Lace Trim to a top placement I now have a classic Handbag. I also used an Antique Brad as a focal point … I also love the music on this bag running up and down rather than the usual left to right …..

This is such an easy project .. If you missed my demonstration this last weekend and would like to learn to make these … Just Email Me …I will set up a class and by the end of this 1 hour Class, you will have made 4 or 5 of these …how easy is that …

Contact me now to set up your private class or a class for you and your friends….

A Scrappers Ornament

Ciao Bella,

I hope you all had a safe Halloween, I know I had a fun time meeting some of my neighbors …I had some of my Halloween Craft Fair Items left over an thought what a great way to meet my neighbors…I handed out regular Candy to the kids… but the moms would stay at the curb… so I started yelling …"I have Mom treats"…you would be surprised how many RAN up to me saying … Mom treats… I have never got those before…It has confirmed to me that it doesn't matter how old you are …Trick or Treat-ing is fun …

So With Halloween officially over …And Today being All Saints Day…not a big holiday in the US but in Europe …it officially marks the Start of the Christmas Season …you try shopping today in Europe today … it will rival our Day after Thanksgiving…..lol… I thought I would share a Christmas Ornament that is a great Project for everyone…even the scrapbooker …..

This little Christmas ornament, is so cute and is perfect for those School Pictures that should be arriving anytime now… I used the Big Shot and the Big Square Scallop Die to make the base of METAL  and the Crumb Cake Card stock …Yes the Big Shot can cut metal …I used Metal Flashing from my local home improvement store…I also used my crop-a-dile to punch a hole in the top to tie my linen tread , for the hanger…

after that I just layered and decorated with the  Boughs and Bells stamp set added a couple of brad and mini library clips…and I did use Sticky Strip to adhere the card stock to the metal… I didn't worry about it the metal showed or not … a little peeking of it is good, so it can catch the light of your Christmas tree…..I left mine simple, but I think I will make a few more with the new glass glitter  or maybe some gold waffle paper… who knows…..

If you would like to make one of the these or just need the supplies  email me  and I will be more than happy to assist you …

Trick or Treat But not something to eat

Ciao Bella,

Halloween is getting closer and close… those ghost and goblins will be spooking around in no time…Are you ready ?…

Today I have a No Candy treat that still is a sweet treat… this would be a perfect alternative for a class party, scouts party or any other event that you just might not want that much candy…..

Here is a close up of these super easy pencil treats

It is just 2 punches, 1 stamp set , ribbon and a little Smooch.

I used the Wicked Cool Stamp Set (120600 )pg 23 in the IB&C, and stamped my bats and cobwebs…and then gave it a little Smooch Spritz(1187700,pg. 195 of the IB&C….. oh I did this on 1 sheet of Crumb Cake Card stock … THEN I cut the card stock into the strips to make the pouches. I used the new Decorative Label Punch to out the Spooky , Punch out a few colorful Bats, add some ribbon and you done …..

Want even easier ? check these out

These were made with all punches and scraps…..Same supplies just no measuring … they were fun to make as well.

I got the pencils at a $1 store, so it makes the project very affordable for a group party.

Now if you like these but don't want to make them yourself, I will have these for sale at the Hinesville Oktober Fest on Friday October 15th and Saturday October the 16th…

I will also have Pumpkin Poop and Eyes Of Newt, Halloween Cupcake toppers, not to mention Christmas cards and gifts…I will also be demonstrating rubber stamping and how to use the Big Shot..

I hope to see you there…

Something Wicked this Way Comes

Ciao Bella,

I am so excited this morning… I was working on party favors for my "quick I need a favor Class" and I was looking for something a little different. Well thanks to my sister demo, Kimberly Van D., who inspired these grown up party favors…take a look

Halloween treat cones

Aren't they so way cool…and way grown up …and they are meant to hang on one of those spooky decorative trees…but alas I don't have one of those…so I used what I had … here they are hanging …

OMWord, I just couldn't stop adding things to them I think I used just about every embellishment in the Holiday Mini Catalog….

Batty treat cone

This one is the simplest of them all …I used the Newsprint Designer Series Paper(117166) pg. 175 in the IB&C, for all the Treat Cones. The stamp set is Wicked Cool (120600)pg. 23 in the IB&C, the Bitty Bat punch (119279) on pg 201 in the IB&C. and I'm not sure if you can see it too well but I used Smooch Spritz in Log Cabin((119921) and Vanilla Shimmer (118772) , both are on pg. 195 in the IB&C…

wicked waffle paper cone

This one has the new Waffle Paper, Champagne Glass Glitter, new Label Punch and the Raven Jewels…all from the Holiday Mini Catalog…and I'd list the catty numbers for you but my mini catty is in the car and it is raining Bats and Broom Sticks right now…lol

button halloween treat cone

This one has the Raven Lace Trim and Extra Large Buttons from the Holiday Mini Catalog, and there is another Black Jewel on there. This one might be my favorite on to make.

over the top halloween treat cone

This last one I have to admit I did go over the top …More Black Raven Lace Trim, Black Jewels, Designer Jewels Basic Pearls, Paper Daisies, Mini Vintage Tag, Vintage Trinkets and I used the New Clear Scalloped Rectangle Sizzlet from the Mini Catalog….

Are these not the most grown up Halloween Fun…you have ever seen…

As I said if you are signed up for my "quick I need a favor" class … you will get to make one of these …is that not the best …

Ok … also this week starts my 12 weeks of Christmas emails…my gift to you for being loyal customers and friends… If you are already receiving my monthly newsletter you are all set…If not , be sure to subscribe today so you don't miss a thing …there is a box up at the top of the page one the left hand side…just for my newsletter…

I used the Got Treats Stamp Set ( 120627) pg 55 in the IB&C, for my image. I used the Bitty Box & Envelope Die( 115967) pg 205, in my Big Shot to make the box…Now it is simple as run the Die through the BigShot, 1 stamped image, and two quick punches…your are done for the outside that is…..

Now the inside…

eyes are watching you

BOO!!!  isn't that so cute…I told you I was keeping my eye on you…I used some mini glue dots(103683) pg. 197 in the IB&C, to "keep my eyes on you"….

The Mermaid Rag Bag

Ciao Bella,

Well, yesterday I spent my day sewing, I know you are scared now aren't you…Me and a sewing machine, Never a good combination…but I have to admit we got along pretty well…slow moving but pretty well…Now you are asking Why?…

I have been asked to have a craft vendor booth and 2 different events here in Hinesville…The first one is a 3 day affair at the Hinesville's Oktoberfest, lots of people and lots of Christmas shopping and the other is the Liberty County Fall Festival another large crowd event…both are next month in October…so I have a lot of getting ready to do… not only do they want all my paper crafting cards and gifts they also want all the vintage fabric items…which means the RagBags…

So today I thought I would share with you a Rag Bag that to me reminds me of Mermaids…The bag is not finished, I have embellishing to do, but I wanted to give a little something…These are really easy to make too..

Here is a close up of the Fabric… Can you see why it reminds me of a Mermaid…All I need to do is add some "shiny" to it because we all know mermaids are distracted by shiny things…and I'm all set…

The Key to making these bags, is to use the Big Shot Die Cutting Machine(113439) pg. 204 in the IB&C, with the Scallop Square Die( 115950) pg. 207 in the IB&C…

If you are interested in learning to make these one of a kind bags… I offer private classes just for these bags…all you have to do is email me and we can find a time that works for you….

Now for those of you who enjoyed the scavenger hunt for $400 SU Shopping Spree…There is another round starting today…this time it is a little different…

you need to search for 20 blogs with LNS owl logo, find the clues, when you find 20 clues … now it's a little different this time… EMAIL ME with all 20 clues and I will enter your name into the drawing…and as a bonus for my customers( sorry no demos), I will send you a little treat as well…

to find other Blogs with the LNS logo go to   http://yourhiredscrapbooksupplies.blogspot.com/2010/09/late-night-stamper-scavenger-hunt-round.html

So what is my Clue….. What Die Did I use to make the Rag Bag?

Have fun and good luck

Vintage Gifts with Stampin’ Up Crochet Trim

Ciao Bella,

Wow that summer cold that took me out last week…was one Monster of a cold… I thought I was feeling good enough to go to the Farmer's Market…boy was I wrong…It set me back all weekend…..Ok enough of the whinny …I was able to create a little gift…Now I didn't come up with this all by myself… A Stampin' Up sister demo, did the original …this is just my take on her idea…..In any case  it is still a wonderful gift ideal….

Take a look

Aren't they the cutest…. They are pin cushions jars…..the tops of the jar is a pin cushion and the jar it self could be filled with buttons, brad, ribbon scraps, candy…or anything you can think of …

This one features the New Big Designer Button from the up coming Holiday Mini Catalog and

Basic Pearls(119247)pg. 188 in the IB&C….

Ok I have to admit I went a little crazy, I just couldn't stop adding the Designer Button on pg 186 in the IB&C and More of those Basic Pearls…I was just having so much fun ….

Here is a more vintage feel with the new Antique Brads(117273) on pg 187 of the IB&C and the New Victoria 5/8' Crochet Trim(118481) on page 190 in the IB&C

This last one, has to be my favorite, again with the Victoria Crochet Trim(118481) and the Antique Brads (117273)…

Wouldn't these be a great gift…for the sewing friend of course but was about your child's teacher…she could keep a roll of sticker in it or  maybe some binder clips…or your co-worker, to keep paper clips or rubber bands …or in a bathroom to hold some bath salts….

I would love to show you how to make these, just email me and we can have a private class or get a group of friends together and have a party….
